Solar Panel Cleaning Equipment
Solar panel cleaning equipment is a soft brush on a telescopic pole fed with pure water, either a manual water-fed pole or a motorised rotating brush, that removes dust and bird droppings without scratching the glass. We sell a mains-powered rotating solar panel brush on a 7.5 m pole.

Types of solar panel cleaning equipment
Three kinds of solar panel cleaning equipment do the job safely; the right one depends on how many panels you clean and whether there is a plug point on site.
Rotating brush pole kits
A 60 cm brush turns at up to 700 rpm and pulls itself across the panels on a 7.5 m aluminium pole, running on mains power (16 m cord).
Water-fed poles
A soft brush with water jets on a 6 m or 9 m pole: the lowest-cost way to clean a home or small commercial array by hand. See water-fed poles.
Pure water
Every method needs pure water under 10 ppm so the panels dry without a mineral film; South African tap water reads 50–300 ppm. A 1,030 L/day reverse osmosis system makes it and a TDS meter checks it.
Rules for cleaning solar panels
Use pure water, never soap: detergent leaves a film that holds dust. Use soft nylon brushes only, never abrasive pads. Keep water at garden-hose pressure: high pressure can force water past the panel seals.
Questions
What equipment do I need to clean solar panels?
A soft brush on a telescopic pole (a water-fed pole or a rotating solar brush), a supply of pure water under 10 ppm from a reverse osmosis system, and a TDS meter to check it. Larger arrays justify a motorised rotating brush.
What is the best equipment for cleaning solar panels?
For large or commercial arrays, a rotating solar panel brush on a telescopic pole cleans fastest; for a home system, a water-fed pole with pure water is the simplest and cheapest. Both need pure water and soft bristles.
What is the best way to clean solar panels?
Early in the morning, with pure water and a soft brush from the ground, working top-down with no soap and no high-pressure spray. Step by step: how to clean solar panels safely.
Where can I buy solar panel cleaning equipment?
Window Cleaning Equipment (WCE) sells solar panel cleaning brushes, machines, water-fed poles and pure water systems online, delivered anywhere in South Africa for a flat R200, normally in 3 to 5 working days.
