9 metre fibreglass waterfed pole: what comes with it

This 9m fibreglass waterfed pole reaches 9 metres in 5 sections of 1.8 metres. A nylon angle adapter carries a 30 cm brush with plastic pencil jets, and 20 metres of hose feeds water up the pole, so you scrub and rinse windows and frames from the ground instead of climbing a ladder.

Why clean windows with a waterfed pole

A waterfed pole replaces the squeegee and washer when you clean at height: dirty frames and glass are scrubbed and rinsed in one pass, which is faster and less tiring on big jobs. It comes into its own near the sea, where salt air coats windows and frames with thick grime.

Rinse with pure water, not tap water: water under 10 ppm dries without spots, while South African tap water at 50–300 ppm leaves marks. Make it with the 1,030 L/day reverse osmosis system or the reverse osmosis water trolley, check it with a TDS meter, and carry it with the 15 litre waterfed pole pump.

9 m fibreglass waterfed pole: questions

Can I connect it to a garden hose?

Yes. It works with a garden hose or our 15 litre pump: the hose end takes a Gardiner fitting, or a male fitting for the pump when you order the two together. Tap water will leave spots as it dries, so for spot-free glass feed it pure water under 10 ppm.

Is the brush included?

Yes: a 30 cm brush with plastic pencil jets on the nylon angle adapter, plus 20 m of hose.

Is 9 m enough for a triple-storey building?

Yes, 9 m is the length we recommend for triple-storey work, and fibreglass is what we stock at that length because it flexes less.
